With a 100% accuracy rate The UK born -but German raised- 2 year old octopus has gained fame and received death threats by predicting the outcomes of all the Germans games, including their loss in the semi finals. And now he has predicted the Spanish to win the 2010 World Cup later tonight.
The psychic octopus Paul is now nearly as famous as the World Cup itself. With his own Facebook page Paul managed to get over 85,000 Facebook friends, and counting. The octopus is a worldwide trending topic on Twitter. TWICE!
And here’s another first: the octopus got death treats. British newspaper the Independent created a list of “10 things you did not know about Paul”,
Big Three in Miami
If you thought Boston's big three were impressive, you ain't seen nothing yet. After two weeks of Free Agency music chairs, the big three Free Agents that became available this month all decided to join one team in pursuit of an NBA Championship.
LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh - All All-Stars, All Gold Medal Olympians, and now all Miami Heat! It's gonna be a BIG season!
Empire Renovations
You may have heard about Empire Hotel shutting down for a little while or even the rumours that it is shutting down for good!
Well to confirm some of the rumours, Empire will be shutting down to renovate and refurbish, and looking to reopen - repeat EMPIRE will be reopening...eventually.
If you, like many other people, have an awesome memory or two from moonbar, then this will be your last chance to party at the orginial moon bar!
The VERY last event to be held at moonbar will be a Breaks & Enter featuring the stylings of Mr Peo De Pitte on August 7th.
If you cant make it to this event, we will be holding one more Breaks & Enter at moonbar on the 31st of July for the dynamic duo that is NAPT!
Its all not over til the fat lady sings, and that fat lady will be on a track played at Breaks & Enter at 4:55am on Sunday, August 8th.
